Pastor DeMoville boils down the role of the husband in the marriage to two basic actions. God has defined the proper roles of those in the marriage relationship and we can never have the harmony we desire in our homes until each person plays their proper part.

Ephesians 2:10

8For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. 9Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. (KJV)

1 Corinthians 11:3

3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. (KJV)

Genesis 3:6

6And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (KJV)

Genesis 3:16-17

16Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. 17And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; (KJV)

Ephesians 5:25

25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (KJV)

1 Peter 3:7

7Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. (KJV)
